This week some of the children have been making flapjacks
Recipe:
125g butter
100g soft dark brown sugar
250g oats
40g sultanas
4 tablespoons of golden syrup

In a pan melt the better, sugar and syrup once melted stir in the oats and sultanas then pour into a baking tin. Bake for 30 mins at 180c or gas mark 4.

Over the next few weeks all the children in nursery will have a chance of making some.

Pancakes

The nursery children really enjoyed making and tasting pancakes on Tuesday and Wednesday and have loved playing outside in the lovely sunny weather we have been having.

Number Day

Here is Nursery's Number day. In this video Nursery was singing 3 little monkeys jumping on the bed.

A Busy Few Weeks In The Nursery!





Lots of exciting events have happened in the nursery in the past half term. We enjoyed listening to the traditional tales of The Ugly Duckling and Beauty And The Beast. We were lucky enough to watch Rainbow Theatre Company and some of the older Glade children act out the stories.

We dressed up for the event. some of us were animals and others were part of the forest.






We also did something funny for the money on Red Nose Day.


We enjoyed dressing up in red clothes and doing our red nose day song and dance.
It goes like this:

DOING SOMETHING FUNNY
We're doing something funny for the money
We're doing something silly for a laugh
Wear one welly, put your face in a jelly,
Try sitting in a baked bean bath
We're doing something funny for the money
'Cause money from the funnies will last
We don't care if anybody stares
'Oh my word, how silly can you get!
We'll make a lot of money being dotty and dauft!



Also on Red Nose Day some children from Year 2 came to entertain us. They were very funny!


We dressed up again this week. This time as superheroes!

We hope that all our mums liked their Mothers' Day cards. We worked hard to write our names carefully inside them.
